In Memoriam.
Jane Bennison Howell died on January 15, 2001 in San Pedro, California, at the age of 88. Ms. Howell, who studied with Glen Lukens at the University of Southern California, worked at Vernon Kilns for several years in the 1930s during which time the company produced a number of her distinctive designs. Ms. Bennison’s family has requested that contributions in her name be made to the Museum of California Design.
